Co-founder of Game Assist
Sara is a Disabled non-binary lesbian of colour and co-founder of Game Assist. They have worked within Students’ Unions for three years representing students of colour, LGBT+, Disabled, and women students, and they’re a literature graduate with a long-time of love of video games and an interest in media criticism. As a way to pursue their own passions and affect positive change at once, Sara co-founded Game Assist in order to create video essay content which provides in-depth analysis of issues of politics and representation within video games, including the series “Inqueeries” which explores LGBT+ issues in particular. Game Assist also produces LetsPlays and streams which aim to provoke thoughtful discussions around these issues while playing games, and they offer consultancy and workshops to developers and organisations.
